Its not just plain old XML as far as I can see.

I'm sure most know about this or similar but for the uninitiated...
LTO labes appear to be made of gold, or you would think. sheesh... 30
dollars for 1 sheet of printed labels. that's a lot of money for a
piece of sticky paper with some ink on it. Must be the alignment
tolerances between the lines in the bar code, or the integrated nano
bots which maintain the colors in the ID code. don't bother looking,
they can't be seen with the naked eye - you need the VENDOR3000 microscope.
in any event...
you can go to this page and generate all the tape labels you wish:
http://tapelabels.librelogiciel.com/
then order either Avery or NetC lables
http://www.labelarchitect.com/p-71-ltosaitt10k-blank-label-stock-20-labelssheet.aspx
http://www.avery.com/ (search for label type 6571 or 6577)
then for a huge fraction of the reseller price, you can spin your own gold.
That said I am official offering label printing services, 29 dollars a sheet! who wants sum? 8)

I posted this question a few days back and didn't get much feedback. Not that I'm demanding or any thing but am hoping this topic peaks an interest.
Is any one doing reverse migrations and if so, can you share some perls in terms of scheduling?
Like its frequency, impact on performance, practical settings, etc...
I currently have a forward policy set so that after 7 days of inactivity, files are moved to tier 2.
I would like files to migrate back to tier 1 after say 5 minutes of access.
I see pitfalls such as fs performance, not so much Cpu.
Since this is my first time using such a technology, "I know this, this is Unix...", sorry poor Jurassic Park quote.
But since this is my first time doing such a thing, I was hoping to gleen some knowledge from the commilunity.
I have about 200 google accounts to migrate into an internal Exchange 2010 server. This would include calandar events, contacts and folders.
I'm aware of the online services like migrationwiz.com, but at 10 bucks a mailbox, that's a bit costly for a one off, perhaps....
know of anything? The imap folders shouldn't be an issue, imapsync or similar will address those, its the calendars and contacts i'm a bit concerned about.

Does anyone use Cloud Storage - Amazon S3, Rackspace, other - as an intermediary storage between vendors and clients?? Aspera is the norm but wondering pros/cons of moving to an S3 or Rackspace scalable storage system seeing as you can get a similar if not more comprehensive security solution there.?
Thanks
Hi Guys,
Question for everyone....
Was wondering how you handle laptops in your offices... More interested in what you do with producers and such who may plug in for a part of the day, but also roam around wirelessly.. Do you set reservations on the ethernet mac addresses?
I hope that makes sense
-Tommy
Yep, reserve on both interfaces and assign a name like johndoe.domain.name so that my sflows make sense.
I also do diff subnets for traffic shaping.

Anyone know where I can get some Gefen KVMs from an actual brick and mortar in the LA area? Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
So has any one racked a Flame + Array in an Xrack Pro?
I need something to quiet it down until I build out a proper machine
room.
My measurements put the Flame fromage at 6U total, so is an Xrack Pro
6U too tight?
So BlueArcs TAC number has been down all day; 866.864.1090.
Does any one have a diff number?
I called em and they said thats it.
I left case notes on line but nada.
Looking to transition from VirtualBox to VMWare and am running into an issue with the conversion. ?The virtual box vdi is running CentOS 5 x64 and was encrypted with LUKS. ?When I run the convert command:
VBoxManage clonehd hd1.vdi hd1.vmdk --format VMDK
Hey all,
Has anyone tried using the LSI 9201-16i SAS HBA with Nexentastor? The external version (LSI 9201-16e) is on Nexenta's HCL but the internal is not. I would assume it's the same chipset but if anyone can confirm it works w/out issue, I'd feel better obviously. :)

G'day, in the process of setting up a cluster using Conga.
There is nothing special about the set-up, just two nodes, out of the box RHEL6 with the HA Add-On. There are no failover clusers yet either, so no need for forwarding any multicast traffic anywhere. We're using the RSA on our IBMS for fencing.
One subnet for client facing server access, one restricted subnet for Conga/Cluster communication/failover. Bit of routing on the KVM hosts to keep traffic on respective ethernet device.
On the RHEL 6 Cluster docs: "each network switch andassociated networking equipment in the Red Hat High Availability Add-On must be configured to enable multicast addresses and support IGMP (Internet Group Management Protocol)"
I'm not Cisco savvy, but need to spec this to our network guy. Could you folks advise on a set-up from the Cisco side, such as PIM protocol choice, etc. Also, any horror stories we can learn from, or tips we can take heed of would be much appreciated.
Thanks all, Tudor
Was just perusing craigslist and saw what appears to be a steal if you're looking for a UPS in Vancouver... Eaton 9170 $1,000

I think its a bad idea to treat WiFi diff then wired clients.
Your policies should reflect user group rather then layer 1.

I kinda like the two birds with one stone approach: all wireless is on an external (naughty) subnet, people who justifiably need more than just Internet get the ability to VPN. In-office it's just about as quick as being on that net, and they can now do all the same stuff wherever they need to...
