I am looking to silently uninstall CS 5.5 as part of our migration to CS6 and beyond. We plan on using the AMMEE tool to package and then deploy silently to our users and have a good handle on that portion of the process.
The big challenge seems to be uninstalling previous versions of silently. We are too large of an organization to go from desk to desk to manually perform the
uninstall. I have found plenty of documentation for removing CS3/CS4 but it starts to get grey for CS5/5.5.
I have been trying something along the lines of this which I found on the interwebs:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\DWA\Setup.exe" -mode=Silent -deploymentFile="path to uninstall file"
As well as something along the lines of:
msiexec.exe /x {product code} /quiet
The goal is to uninstall the CS suite(s) or standalone products installed, run the Adobe cleaner script to remove an lingering bits of Adobe and then install CS6, so we want package this up as script that can be run remotely and do these
upgrade after hours and without interrupting the daily workflow.
thanks
