NFS load balance
posted by Dave Kelly on Nov. 18, 2013, 7:54 a.m. (3 days ago)

I have 3 Centos 6.4 nodes fiber attached to a StorNext SAN. I am exporting the same volume on all three. The share is exclusive to a system called Avere which is its own cluster and mounts the NFS share I provide. I would like to get all 3 nodes in on the action but at the very least a failover would be nice.

I have tried rrdns but once the system mounts a share, even if that node disappears it will wait until that node is back, does not do another dns lookup so that was a fail. Does anyone have any experiance with NFS loadbalance or failover? The wall I am running into appears to be the NFS connection once established becomes persistent.
