Parser for Autodesk .pit licensing files?
posted by Jean-Francois Panisset on Jan. 13, 2014, 2:50 p.m.
Autodesk license is completely over the top over-complicated, they need to delete all the code and start from scratch. Of course that will never happen.

Now that I have gotten this off my chest: has someone ever run across code to parse, or even better to generate Autodesk .pit files? These files record your serial numbers and product codes, and unfortunately it seems that the only way to generate a comprehensive .pit file is to uninstall and reinstall all your products on the same machine, which could eat up a whole day.

Why can't Autodesk just send me a pre-generated .pit file with all my licenses and product codes already baked in? That would be a real value add...
