Power Off Blue Arc down
posted by Saker Klippsten on Feb. 28, 2014, 3 p.m.
Plenty experience with power-outages here in Culver City unfortunately/fortunately not with blue-arc.

I strongly would advise going forward to get battery backup for the next time the power goes out to give you at least 15-20 min to shutdown properly.
Depending upon your setup requirements, its not the much of an investment for the head-ache which is about to ensue.

If you do have one and it failed or its undersized, check out http://www.refurbups.com/ we used them to replace a # of old batteries.
Also Ebay has a slew of APC Gear for cheap which you can then replace the batteries if they are not up to par...

Our power just went down on our floor and our Blue Arc did not go down gracefully. We are still awaiting an ETA for the power to be restored but we're concerned about the Blue Arc and especially the index. We've already opened a case with Hitachi and have esscalated it but while we're waiting, is there someone with experience in this that would care to share some advice on the matter?

Thanks,
