Hi,
We are running a network of 50 + users with mix flavoured operating systems (Linux, Mac os X and Windows) and busy to put something in place to monitor bandwidth/internet usage and to give me a detailed graph of who used what (IP Address or DNS name) and the type of protocol they used most like FTP, HTTP/HTTPS, UDP etc... almost like web security/Websense but I dont want to block sites, just a internet usage breakdown of IP Addresses. If it can give me the URL's that they have used that be a plus.
The server that I already have setup is a Win 7 Pro with two NIC's, one to monitor the bandwidth and the other to gain access to the machine. Now the one that monitor I want to connect to a mirrored port (one port will be the WAN Gateway and the other the monitor port) on a Extreme Summit X350 switch.
I would like to know if there is a freeware software that can do so ? |
