Nuke8v4 + AJA Kona LHe+ Driver gotcha
posted by James Bourne on April 15, 2014, 11:25 p.m. (2 days ago)
Hopefully this helps someone ... as I saw another post from February reporting issues with Nuke and Kona cards.

In our situation we couldn't get monitor preview output working with Nuke8v4 via the Kona LHe+ on Windows 7. We had installed the most recent driver - 10.5.1 by virtue of a new workstation being deployed.

The Foundry support advised there was an issue and they were working with AJA to resolve. In the meantime we found that Nuke8 is compiled against the Kona LHe+ 10.4 libraries. Downgrading the driver to 10.4.1 resolved the issue for us.

Look in the software archive for the AJA Hardware Driver v10.4.1 - Windows (64-bit) here:

https://www.aja.com/en/products/kona-lhe-plus#support

Page 500 (!) of the manual covers the supported cards and various limitations including how to enable monitor reference out.
AJA product compatibility matrix is here:
