Systems Engineer - Hollywood

Encore, a Deluxe Entertainment Services Group company, has a position in its newly developed visual effects department in Hollywood, CA. Encore provides post production services to top television series and is owned by Deluxe Entertainment Services Group Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of MacAndrews & Forbes Holdings Inc. Deluxe is the leading provider of a broad range of entertainment industry services and technologies to major Hollywood Studios and an international client base.

We currently have an opening for Systems Engineers for our office based in Hollywood, CA

Experience + Skills

Multi-platform Linux/Mac/Windows management and integration.

Scripting skills (shell/PHP/Perl/Python/) a plus.

Back end server management / Active Directory.

Configuration management and deployment tools.

Understanding of VFX production and experience configuring, deploying and maintaining typical applications used in this space (3DSMax, Maya, Nuke).

Experience / interest in pipeline processes (asset management, render farm) a plus.

Networking and storage configuration and management.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to communicate clearly with non-technical production staff.

Ability to keep a positive attitude in sometimes stressful situations and keep a clear sense of priorities.

Strong customer service ethic and natural problem solving abilities

Job Duties

Production support via phone, email and live at desk-side.

Data management.

Monitor critical systems and deal with technical issues.

Analyze and find creative solutions for software, hardware and systems problems involving Artists and Developers.

Enhance, modify, and redesign technology systems to accommodate the ever-changing requirements of production.
