Hosting applications in a non file locking ZFS environment

NFS to Win7 is still pretty abysmal, hosting apps on that sounds like torture.

Yo,

You shouldnt have any issues with locking disabled.  However I have not run Windows apps over NFS, just Linux and some OSX.

The only area in which Ive needed locking are serving out home directories to OSX clients.

Im sure there are other envs were locking is required but for your VFX workflow, you should not need it.

However my advice is tainted by my humble experiences so others may say different.
