Hello Everyone.

I have never had a need for a 'dailies' type system, but with the quantity of work I have been doing, I am starting to think it might be worth investigating.  I was wondering what people on this list have used for dailies type playback lists.

I know a little python, and would ideally like a system I could easily connect with.  There would be 2 things I hope this software could do.  The first and easier of the two would be to take a list of folders with image sequences or .mov or .mp4 files in them, and create a playlist on the fly to play those files.

The second thing I would love would be a way to automatically update shots into a timeline that shows the shots in the edit.  Ideally replacing slugs in a timeline with the correct shot so shots can be watched in context of the edit.

Is the obvious answer Hiero?  I have not looked closely into it, but I hear that is a good option.  Are there any other, preferrably cheaper options? Ideally would like a less expensive option.

Thanks
