Hi, I'm about to build a full-flash storage as our main production storage (nuke/maya/houdini/players). I'm currently leaning towards a "self-built" 24x2.5 Supermicro server filled with S3610 series. I might go for nvme instead, but I'm not confortable doing software raid with Windows Server so I might choose a FreeBSD/ZFS solution in that case. If you already built something similar, either on Windows Server or FreeBSD, would you have any gotchas to share ? I never built a full SSD storage so I'm trying not to miss anything before spending my whole storage budget on it :) |
