Forwarding in case anyones interested.  The AMNH does some pretty groundbreaking work in the planetarium/fulldome-video realm.

Systems Administrator
Full-Time @ American Museum of Natural History

The Systems Administrator will work with the Electronic Media Engineering staff to maintain production systems and pipelines, systems related to theaters, and audio video and interactive systems throughout the museum, including the Hayden Planetarium. Duties will include the daily preparation of multi-channel systems, emergency support and repairs as needed on playback systems, and support for a render farm, storage, and servers.
 
Required:
Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac operating systems, including Shell scripting skills.
Experience with administration and support in the context of science based visualization, media production, or video production.
Willingness to work some nights and weekends on scheduled rotation.
 
Preferred:
Knowledge of 3D applications, hardware and software rendering pipelines, NAS and SAN implementations helpful.
Knowledge of video codecs and encoding a plus.

Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering is preferred. Extensive relevant experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree.
