Hello! As this is my first time doing this, I thought I'd reach out to all of you on best practices for how to install Maya to be used on a farm. I'd rather not have to install Maya to each blade, but if it's better to then so be it. My first assumption is to just install Maya locally to one blade and then copy over the /usr/autodesk directory to my network share. As this will only be used for rendering, I'm not sure if I need the licensing RPM's included with the tar file. Or I could just rpm --prefix it to the share from the start. Just looking for the best methodology here, any tips are appreciated! Cheers, Mike |
