Toronto actually.  You'd think the largest city in Canada would be a bit more up to speed but a quick look at our subway line map and wifi coverage puts things into perspective quickly when compared to London's or Seoul's, or about any other major city across the pond that I've been to.   I blame the unions but I could be wrong..

From 2G to 8G IIRC. Had a couple of busy google maps days and payed some overages that made 8G look good. Just don't think we should have to think about this stuff anymore. You were in Ottawa right? Montreal is getting wifi in parks etc but we're a long way from the civilized world. I guess that's why we have the crazy expensive cell plans....

take care,

What did you bump it up to Greg?    I had some 'extra' info but I deleted it from the email,  I have a tendency to ramble or be verbose.....  basically was thinking out loud:  I'm near so much wifi now I only really use it while on the road out of town,  till I get to where I'm going.  Most destinations have free wifi now so its really only needed while commuting...  Still nothing like Korea,  they have wifi all over the place,  but getting better where I live.  When I was there you get wifi even on the subway while underground.  That place is way ahead of many/all NA cities in terms of communication and transportation.

Just ordered my G7 phone,  making the move from Apple to Android (not without little concern I'll admit).

So for the new phone and the 42 inch 4k smart TV it ended up costing me 200 dollars upfront  and a bump in my bill by 12 dollars a month, on a 2 year commitment.

That 12 dollars includes:

1. adding a second phone to my account (moving my kids phone onto my account)
2. shared 12 gigs per month (up from my current 3 gigs)
3. and a few other account perks (free calls within NA etc...)

Over the 24 month commitment I'll give them an extra 288 dollars than I currently am,  so you could say I'm paying about 500 dollars for the newest phone on the market,  a 4k TV, and the 'bump' in services.   Seems ok.

I've never ran over my 3 gig a month limit in the last 2 or 3 years,  so having 12 seems crazy,  but we'll see what the kid chews up..

@Z They likely will.  ;)  It does look very X'ish.

Found it funny how it claims 7.1 sound and uses its internal space to extend bass.   A subwoofer in a phone..

@WS Canada only?  Thats a bummer.   Someone needs to start a VPN like service for delivery addresses.  :)

Been thinking of getting rid of my iPhone and going back to Android,  someone sent me this link..  Almost seals the deal...

If you are looking for a phone soon (deal ends may 31) check this link out:

If you pre order the phone they'll send you a 600 dollar TV,  its "only" 42 inches but 4k,  making it a nice computer display.  :)   I'm sure the phone alone will be 1200 or so...
