Hi Everyone,
I’d like to invite everyone in the Vancouver area or those visiting, to join us on October 10th (Wednesday) for the Vancouver Sysadmin meeting.
This month’s topics are “Powering Pipelines with ioMemory” and “An overview of Rendercloud” which opened last May at the Digital Media Centre in Vancouver
Io-Memory: This session will share how using Fusion ioMemory as a new memory tier can unlock creative possibilities for digital artists by providing huge performance improvements. ioMemory is being used by Facebook, Salesforce.com, Pandora, Xbox Live and others, but now studios can take advantage of its capabilities in workstations with ioFX. After a brief overview of ioMemory, we will cover use cases and implementation options as well as software offerings that allow it to accelerate any pipeline.
Rendercloud: This session will share how the 3 partners (Digital Media studios, Public Education and Scalar Decisions) teamed up to launch a shared datacenter in Vancouver. What is Rendercloud and what are its advantages to Digital Media.
