Reaching out to some Realflow experts here. We've got a Windows 7 box
HPZ620 spec'd out for running a sim. It was all working fine last week
and now the artist is saying it's practically unusable. Loading a very
simple scene it starts the sim ok but after 10 or so frames it starts
slowing right down. A similar spec'd machine doesn't.
It's using a local SSD drive for caching. I've tried uninstalling and
reinstalling it, clearing prefs etc but just can't get it working
properly again.
Has anyone else seen something like this? The whole machine is new
including the SSD. All other software on the machine like Maya seem to
work as usual. I've tried various GFX drivers and am just about to
resort to wiping the machine and reinstalling windows! I think the
artist has "played" with something and now broken it! I think I
probably need to lock the machine down even more.
Cheers for any help/pointers.
