Strange terminal behavior (Lion 10.7.2)

Hi all,

Has anyone seen this under Lion?

• From a terminal on a Lion box, ssh into a Snow Leopard box.

• From that terminal try running top:

  [edit002:/usr/share] root# top Error opening terminal: xterm-256color.

What the heck?

Here are a few others:

[edit002:/usr/share] root# clear
terminals database is inaccessible[edit002:/usr/share] root# tcsh
tcsh: Cannot open /etc/termcap.

All these commands work fine, when going from Lion to Lion. More research to follow...
