The Junior Support Engineer is responsible for providing technical support to the companys operations, infrastructure and post-production suites and for ensuring an efficient, reliable and secure operation. This is a role for someone looking for a career in media technology. Key responsibilities - Provide frontline maintenance and troubleshoot technical and operational issues
- Assist the company the engineering team in achieving technical and operational excellence
- Maintain documentation, technical drawings and asset logs
- Develop technical skills and understanding via team members or web/book based learning
Essential knowledge and skills - Sound understanding of the principles of TV and film post production technology
- Excellent IT and computing experience, with a developing understanding of computer network technology
- Knowledge of modern post production workflows, equipment and infrastructure
- Ability to identify changing technical requirements and to research, recommend and develop solutions
- Ability to work effectively within a small flexible team, as well as independently
- Ability to fault-find, solve technical problems and escalate as appropriate
- Ability to work to demanding deadlines
- A positive and flexible approach
- Keen interest in developing post production and related technologies
