Maya 2017 batch

I am getting all kinds of errors from it regardless of renderer.

Failed to init graphics device.
BiFrost plugin errors
syncolor errors
color management errors...

etc

I suspect these are due to a limited GPU on a render node but in admittedly limited testing it seems to work ok if i plug the command into cmd.exe manually.

Is there a magic command to tell it to stop this GPU madness?

Thought I'd check with you before going into the black hole of Autodesk support.
