So AC and Cooling are still something that I don't feel I have a clear handle on some of the best practices.
Suppose you were building a small Server Room with 2 to 3 racks that had 20 to 40 Render Nodes, an Isilon Cluster and 10 other "servers" for various things.
Does anyone have recommendations on how to determine the best way to cool the equipment. Do you just put a big AC unit on the roof? Do you go for in row cooling or some other method. What's the best temperature for the room? Is it bad if the room fluctuates in temperature by 10 or more degrees?
I'm looking for some expert opinions and as I would imagine this is something that everyone has to deal with
